"Ruddy Heck"

A big apology to an unnamed member of our club! You know who you are. When he included a couple of Rudd in his recent catch return we were a bit skeptical at GAC HQ. Probably roach we said. There are no known records of Rudd being taken on the Leadon and they rarely frequent any of the rivers in the UK. Well looks like he was right all along as another one has turned up on the Durbridge stretch in the canal section and this time we have a handy photo to aid identification.

Although its pretty "roach like" we believe this is s true Rudd with the characteristic upturned mouth and the ruby red fins. More of a burnished colouring overall and the longer anal fin also confirm this as a Rudd. Who would have thought it!
